Pruning, planting, trimming… not a day passes without Emmanuel labouring on the estate’s seven hectares. Supported by Séverine Pétilaire-Bellet, he has undertaken a remarkable metamorphosis of each patch, transforming the park into a spectacular French-style garden. Everything is coordinated to the smallest detail. The majestically aligned trees form shady paths, while the bushes, trimmed with precision, grant the estate a sense of timeless elegance. The ornamentally sculpted boxwood and yew beds add a refined touch to the whole.
Always with his tools at hand, Emmanuel works tirelessly to give new life to the areas near the river, to reshape the trees around the vegetable garden, or create new green spaces near the terrace. “Keeping an eye on everything and looking out for any twig that is out of place. That sums up my daily life!”, he explains with modesty. Much more than just a garden, the park embodies the art of exalting nature to create absolute beauty.
Symmetry, precision and meticulousness down to the smallest detail create a place of total wonderment. Every season displays new and different hues. Nature, here, has been tamed while still preserving its wildness. Let yourself be guided by the harmonies of greens, the murmur of the river and the beauty of the plant sculptures.
