At the crossroads of Le Morvan and L’Auxois, L’Atelier Correia is a rural firm of architecture which pursues its activities in diverse fields - renovation and extension of old buildings, public amenities, urban studies and commercial buildings – with a deep concern for the environment, leading it to use the local materials which have built Burgundy’s renown.
L’Atelier Correia is deeply rooted in its surrounding area. From this environment, its architects draw inspiration, references and colours, showing respect for built heritage and paying close attention to natural and sustainable materials. The rural backcloth is a laboratory where one can imagine life in the future: closer to nature, with no frontiers between town and country, activating local sectors, giving priority to traditional know-how and human qualities. The studio thus positions itself on highly diverse programmes: private homes (detached houses, second homes, town houses), public buildings (cultural, sports, administrative, and educational facilities), hotels–restaurants (luxury hotels, middle market, kitchens…), stores, industrial buildings (factories, warehouses, craftsmen’s workshops), agricultural and breeding premises (riding centres, farms…), redevelopment of village centres, definition studies, advice for gardens, landscaping, and urban studies.
